So all other mentions of these instances of fringe to Twitter trending seem flagged by hacker news ... sad sad.

Technically I think this would be considered off topic, theres been a lot of borderline content recently though.

Not sure ... I find it interesting how our brains get hacked by social media and see it as a topic worth discussing here (with those examples).
