Ask HN: Anyone else unable to checkout from Apple Store?

Not sure why comment by draw_down was killed, but they are correct - doing it through the "Apple Store" app (not App Store, but Apple Store) actually worked.

The reason being, I think, is that Apple Pay with Apple Card is directly integrated into the app, but fails on the web.

If you ever wonder why a comment is killed when it's a perfectly reasonable/normal comment, check the poster's history. It's highly likely that at some point they were shadowbanned. You can vouch for those comments (click on the time next to the comment, then click on "vouch").

Interesting. Seems like their account does indeed get auto-flagged. Thanks for the tip. Next time I know how to check for it.

It seems the problem is with their Apple Card flow. If you choose monthly payments, instead of a one-time payment, the checkout flow goes through a different process which isn't working. FYI

I had success but I used the Apple store app. Maybe give that a shot
