Product not available in the UK and I can’t see any details. How much does one bottle cost?

250 USD

Did Elon Musk just get bored, or is this an early April Fools joke? I mean... I'll take a bottle if someone wants to send me one, but this is entirely out of left field.

Maybe it's just some luxury brand wraparound attempt?

Totally. 90% of all tequila is bullshit. This is just some generic spirit put in a fancy bottle and marked up 500%.

Edit: Yup, called it.

Looks to be the same juice as https://shop.nosotrostequila.com/nosotros-reposado-tequila.h... but aged a few months longer, and marked up 555%

Related, since Nosotros is supplying the tequila for Tesla. And maybe more interesting. https://www.lmu.edu/thelmuexperience/carlossoto16entrepreneu...

Well, you gotta hand it to Tesla - they know what the country wants!

Seems like an odd product for a car company to sell?

Odder than a faux flame-thrower?

They likely need cash to keep the company going and Elon knows that given the brand popularity he can use it to sell overpriced Tequila to help build up cash

> Volkswagen currywurst is a brand of sausage manufactured by the Volkswagen car maker since 1973. It is manufactured at the company's Wolfsburg plant and sold in restaurants in its six German factories. The currywurst are also sold externally at supermarkets and football stadiums and given away to Volkswagen customers. The sausage is branded as a "Volkswagen Original Part" and has been given the part number 199 398 500 A. The product has been described as the most produced of any of Volkswagen's parts, some 6.81 million sausages being manufactured in 2018. In many recent years the company has produced more sausages than cars. A Volkswagen ketchup is also produced and sold to accompany the currywurst.

Lol? That is news to me. Never seen them in .de all my life.

Agreed. Though maybe it's just a heavy lean into "This thing will drive itself in a few years"

Seems only fair, since they're working so hard to put the country's ethanol plants out of business.

Is Tesla running out of cash?

Last time they pulled such a stun was with the flame-thrower and that was a huge success.

They also sold those booty shorts which apparently did pretty well.

Wouldn't it be better to come out with this AFTER they have self-driving perfected?

Lame. Lacks the Cyberworm for real SpaceX'y visions.
