Denisovan is another isolated race of our species, and probably even Homo floresiensis that were the same species.

The genetic differences between modern human populations are very tiny by the standards of most species, so I’d prefer a distinctive term to distinguish the pronounced differences between us and Neanderthals or Denisovans. It does seem like we could interbreed though, so related sub-species might be appropriate. Species is a fairly nebulous concept though so personally I wouldn’t nitpick its use in this case.
