Your title would make more sense if you clarified that this was 5 x 1GBps ethernet connections, not literally a 5GBASE-T system.

5GBASE-T, aka 5 Gigabit ethernet, is a separate standard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2.5GBASE-T_and_5GBASE-T

tl;dw - I can get five 1 Gbps network interfaces using an Intel I340-T4 PCIe NIC, but I can only get a maximum of 3.06 Gbps throughput using all five interfaces at the same time.
