So if you're the governor and this happens to you, everything's corrected and the perpetrator is arrested within 2 days. Meanwhile, what happens to the average person who is purged from the voter rolls?

The average person purged from the voter rolls incorrectly is purged my a mass, government-contracted-out process that, presuming the error was discovered in time, requires a lawsuit to fix.

If it's possible to do this to Gov. DeSantis, what's stopping malicious actors from doing that to the rest of us?

Why would it be flagged?

Because it's vaguely political and has little tech component. It's not like it's about electronic voting machines or something. Not that that stuff never shows up, but usually it's on and off the front page pretty quick unless there's a tech component.

We're wayyyy past the point of vaguely political content being allowed.

The difference is of course the Governor could summon law enforcement to quickly find who was causing this—and fix it—but a regular person would have a hard time getting the same kind of enforcement, leading to an uncounted voice.

Which begs the question, is voter fraud is more widespread than the cases that have surfaced as evidence?

No? How would changing someone’s address on file lead directly to voter fraud?

Receiving ballots that otherwise would have gone to people that don't vote.

If this particular kind of fraud was common, it would be blindingly obvious. So, no, I don't think this raises that question at all.

The lack of journalistic curiosity is startling...BTW, Project Veritas has numerous videos, including a woman who claimed to have swayed 7000 votes. It does not take many operatives of this woman's impact to consistently sway election results.

To people who pay attention, it is obvious. To people who want to confirm their bias that there is no widespread election fraud, no evidence, including video evidence, will suffice. They will rationalize & explain it away...

I know...civil discourse is required on HN... but it's so hard when people cite Project Veritas as if it is anymore newsworthy than the Onion. I can't even grok how someone could buy anything they're selling (or the Qanon crap). SMH.

Because my eyes & ears are lying to me? SMH when the narrative is more "real" than raw video footage to some people. Reminds me of a cult.

Let's see if the United States Supreme Court sees reality the same way that you do, because it looks like Project Veritas will be providing some evidence for the case ;-)

How? It takes only a few thousand votes, even less, to sway a district. And there's still a lot of people that don't vote, so they'd never notice.

If he used public WiFi or VPN, he might have gotten away with it.
