YunoHost: Simple Self-Hosting

I'm looking to set up a new site to compliment my social media lifestyle business. Ideally this will include Dynamically linked Social Media content updates, Email, Affiliate links, Subscription based Audio and Video archive Streaming services and possibly a small Member Forum.

I used to host 3 or 4 page static web sites 20 years ago using centOs based systems but was under the impression that nowadays it makes more sense to rent a hosted server from a Godaddy, Azure, AWS or the like due to the higher bandwidth and better reliability and security.

Am I wrong?
