HN is suppressing anti-tech stories
These are tech articles on two core topics to the community: big tech + censorship.
What's ironic is the concerns raised in these stories are.. exactly what's happening on HN - suppression of discussion anti- the liberal-tech-majority.
Some ideas for preventing minority-viewpoint suppression systemically:
- Flags should be justified with fixed list of reasons + justification text input, article then shows flag reasons. Profiles show how many flags a person has done, per-reason.
- Total flags capped per-month
- People who tend to flag together have less weight on flagging
- "Vouching" should be stronger than flagging to prevent minority viewpoint suppression, and also capped.
