I learned to Shut Up when Learning

Now, as an old man, I have little money, few friends, and no significant achievements to be proud of. Just now, when I read this article, I realised that my whole life could have been different if I'd just learnt to stop talking at a few key points, and listened more.
I am old, but I am not dead yet.
What do you think I should do now?
One thought crossed my mind: I love reading about lessons in life, works, etc. I bet many people love it too. Have you ever think about write, share your advice?
You have the advantage of being old. I bet you have lots to share for younger generations if it ever interests you
Best!
> thin line between explaining and talking back
Because we don't have the actual contents of the discussion that took place, we can't really say who was out of line here (as an aside, I think teachers should be more willing to listen to counter points considering the profession).
I also would not say "Shut Up when Learning" because of this experience because, as noted, the line differs from person to person. Active learning is supposedly one of the best processes out there (it was emphasized a lot during my training as a tutor for a cs course).
