AWS US East EC2 issues for 8 hours now

I am pretty surprised that AWS reported in their status dashboard that since 1:48AM PDT they have had issues with EC2 instances, and 8.5 hours later, it's not resolved.

We pre-emptively redirected some of our traffic away from that region some time ago to ensure customers are completely unaffected should there be capacity issues (https://status.ably.io/incidents/710), but I am surprised this is not being reported more widely.

Would be nice to know after this much time how things are going and what the root cause is.

Are any of you experiencing issues too?
