Intel Confirms Rocket Lake on Desktop for Q1 2021, with PCIe 4.0

Timing for this announcement is intentional as AMD is about to announce its Zen3 architecture tomorrow.

But I wonder if this is akin to shooting themselves in the foot since it reveals that 1) Rocket Lake will remain on the now outdated 14nm fabrication node and 2) likely a very marginal improvement over very recently-released Come Lake.
