Canada banning plastic bags, straws, cutlery and other items by end of 2021

Interesting that they chose to ban these specific items but not plastic water bottles, plastic milk bags, plastic garbage bags, sandwich bags, and all that plastic packaging your food comes in.

Perhaps they went for the low hanging fruit where it only affects the public (which can't really do anything about it) and ignored the greater problem related to Industrial packaging.

Not against getting rid of single use plastics but the are bigger fish to fry. These bans they are implementing are just feel good policies that are theater for the masses without addressing the real problem.
