I'm kidding to make a point: marriage is seldom a 100% ideal proposition. In my house we intermingle our books. Virginia Woolf's "Mrs. Dalloway" is next to Tom Wolfe's "The Right Stuff". The benefit of sharing an amazon account makes up for the fact that I may see books she's interested at Amazon.com.
The economics make the annoyances worth it.
The economics are a result of Amazon's arbitrary restrictions, something that they could change by fiddling around with their code a bit to try different things.
As things stand, yeah, it's probably worth it to share, but I'm just pointing out how I think things could be better.
Same as with a real book. I think the limits we're all used to with physical objects seem, in some cases, a bit less onerous than weird, arbitrary ones. "I bought it, I should be able to do what I want with my copy".
