Would StarLink prevent internet censorship in places like China?

Per the ITU, StarLink would need Chinese government approval to operate in China. So they won't be able to sell their services in China unless they appease CPC.

Now you ask, what if you smuggle a StarLink device in? Sure, you can. Now if you are a suspicious person, they will search you at the airport for it. Assume you get one in and get caught with it, then its extra bonus detention time.

When I worked in China, a lot of my co-worker knows what's going it. They know about June 4th, etc. They have VPN and have access to western media, wikipedia, etc. They just don't care that much. One of their common expression is: I'm doing well under the party. I have a home in Shanghai. I have money to buy my parents a home in their village.
