I love this. Have had the idea myself, but am not committed enough to make it really work. Have been hoping someone makes it happen.

I think if done right it has the potential to unlock a lot of economic value in the form of small software businesses.

You won’t get AirBnB or Tesla from this, but you would get plenty of businesses that could do more than a million ARR with a really small team.

Great idea!

Two points:

1. Why can't I upvote ideas just by clicking on the ^ button on the main page? Redirecting to the idea page doesn't seem very logical.

2. Most importantly: why do I have to type email again to subscribe when you already have my email on file? Shouldn't this be a simple 'Subscribe' button?

1. initially I was going to have an upvote mechanism but backtracked because I thought having two rankings (votes and subscriptions) might make things confusing. But yeah the upvote icon is confusing.

2. Ah you caught a blind spot. I didn't think users would be signing up for subscribing but of course they can. I should be able to add an auto fill.
