That Merv 13 airfilter they mention is amazing. I have one. I also grill my meats outdoors to avoid lowering indoor air quality.
But the thing that bugs me about the article is how new homes have to have these expensive new systems. There's this constant requirement for more and more things to build into new homes. CA is having a housing crises, homes here are through the roof.
It's so odd that new homes HAVE to have it, but most people live in old homes and don't and they suggest simple and cheap solutions for that (an $80 free standing air filter). Why can't we apply that same simple and cheap solution to new homes that could be affordable?
It's frustrating.
