I'm no Facebook apologist, but Facebook's response seems to (reasonably) point out that Ireland's DPC doesn't appear to be well functioning:
> "Facebook was given only three weeks to respond ... [and] wasn’t contacted about the inquiry prior to judgment being handed down"
> "... one person [Helen Dixon, Ireland’s data protection commissioner] is responsible for the entire process"
> "... no other big tech company using similar methods to transfer data to the U.S. from the EU is under the same scrutiny."
