Is the large image right in the middle of the article supposed to be a slideshow? It looks like one, but I just cannot get it to show the next image. And I have the feeling those images are important.
It's just two images. You can right click and select "inspect" in many browsers. There's two elements containing images, no more.
It's not a 100% reliable method for checking if there should be more content somewhere, there could be a bunch of JavaScript listeners attached to surrounding elements that could add more content upon interaction.
It's two images that will both be displayed fully at around 1400px width.

Below 640px, they display correctly.
Above that, up to 1400px, the right image is only slightly cropped.
Above 1400px, the right image becomes more and more cropped.
