Tracing the NYC Trip in “The Warriors” (2006)

I have a similar hobby: locating luxury houses that I see in movies, using Google Maps. After identifying buildings in the background, it's a question of looking for the right swimming pool. I've never been to Miami or Los Angeles but I've pinpointed locations in both. Just found a place in Trousdale Estates. It's nice when you find it and verify it's a real place, with the same palm tree and the garden chairs.

The Warriors had a... slightly different scenery. I watched it at the time, on video. The (2006) in the title made me think it was a remake, but it seems to be the date of the article.

I watched the movie "Warriors" and thought it was silly. Felt more like a campy musical

I recommend John Carpenter's "assault on precinct 13" if you want a movie about gang culture. A movie that is still relevant today with the current police violence and counter violence in American streets.

I always liked the scene at the citywide truce where Cyrus said the largest gang in New York City is the New York City police.

An interesting view point I thought and what stuck most with me.

I haven't been able to find that scene again. I've tried a few versions. Seems to have been cut/lost.

I saw the movie at the drive-in. Strong memory of the beer-bottle clacking.
