I’d say the best thing about staycationing is not having to fly.
possibly to allow people to explore the airport and go home after without breaking the rules. Additionally pilots will have a better opportunity to track their flight hours to maintain their license.
Changi Airport is an experience in itself, so you might be on to something there.
Cal Newport's "Deep Work" cites an example of someone buying business-class airline tickets because the ability to focus on a plane was such a boon.
I'd do it if I was in SIN. Changi's pretty nice, and you can't go airside without a boarding pass. If you fly business or first class, Singapore Airlines is a pretty nice experience. I'm usually extremely productive on flights, so it would make a change from working at home or in a cafe or whatever. Also, I like aircraft and the experience of flying, and it's been a while since the last time I did it.
They’re missing a real trick: turn the plane into a casino, brothel, or disco. It would be the air equivalent of a party-bus. I bet they’d make a killing.
