It’s narrowly sparing Houston. The biggest risk to Houston at this point is probably mass power outages but even that is looking unlikely. Thousands of homes are likely to still be destroyed along the coast.
If the dice had rolled just slightly differently, tonight would have been a decade defining event as a major US city was destroyed. We just barely scraped by and avoided that fate.
