PyPi is down

Does not seem useful to post downages here in HN. Let's not do this.

If you care at all about being able to bring up new servers at mission-critical times, you should have local networked copies of every package that you would normally get from distro repos or PyPi.

Use the following mirrors if needed:

http://{b,c,d,e,f}.pypi.python.org/

See: http://www.pip-installer.org/en/latest/index.html#mirror-sup...

PyPi is notoriously fragile, and is down an awful lot. That is why those of us who use it for deployment regularly use the mirrors.

In other words, this is not newsworthy.

Looks like mirrors are still up, to use with pip: pip install -i http://d.pypi.python.org/simple [package]
