What is the average value that an employee makes on a startup exit?

So I have been exploring the lottery tickets in the startup land. Obviously we all see sometimes small, medium and big time hits and founders & investors make money. However there are cases where even when startup exits, employees get zilch. I was looking for some numbers but failed and was curious if someone else explored this? If you take all exits that happened and put a dollar value towards the employees and also include all the fails (that raised), I guess the amount won't be that interesting to even consider a startup route?
