People seem to forget that their skin is a glove when it comes to viruses.

My point is instead of wearing gloves you can just avoid touching your face until you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer, which you can't do wearing gloves.

I wear them when at the grocery store, primarily. There's a lot of high touch there. It's probably overkill, but it makes me feel more comfortable about it.

People around here do but my research indicates it's no better than just regularly washing your hands and using hand sanitizer (and never touching your face, of course).

I have a OnePlus 5 and use both depending on the situation, very useful.

An extreme minority. Unlocking your phone is very low on the list of issues if you are one of those people.

Bitwarden supports faceunlock -> all apps with pin support face unlock. Solved.

I prefer fingerprint too, but just want to point out it's also imperfect. If your hands are at all damp, or sweaty, or cold, the success rate drops to well below 50% (at least for me). It often takes 3-4 tries to unlock if not under perfect conditions, so it's not uncommon that I have to give up and enter the PIN even with my fingerprint-capable Pixel 3.

You must never get condensation on your finger or phone. That scanner is so ineffective with just a little moisture.

That said, I still like it better than face.
