Trump not ready to commit to election results if he loses

You understand incorrectly. The electoral college is the collection of people (elected, generally, by voters in the states who vote with ballots that look like they are voting for President, but in fact are voting for a slate of electors) that cast votes in Presidential elections, not the body that certifies them. Congress counts and certifies the result.
But Trump isn’t talking about certification, anyway, he is talking about abiding by the results, and is saying that he is not committed to leaving office even if he is voted out; in other words, he is openly holding open the possibility that he will stage an auto-coup rather than leave office if he is voted out.
They would be better off actually trying to run on SOMETHING other than “we aren’t trump” and trying to somehow shame anyone who votes for him. They really have absolutely nothing , this election is a joke.
It took 0 days. The election was on Nov 8, 2016, and Clinton conceded on Nov 9, 2016.
Trump still falsely claims election fraud to this day because he lost the popular vote.
> They would be better off actually trying to run on SOMETHING other than “we aren’t trump”
Trump's historically-low approval rating and polls (including conservative polls, like Rasmussen) disagree.
If an election is close and contested you don’t bow out until you’ve exhausted all your legal recourse.
And if anyone believes the military would support him if he actually tried to stay by force (hint he wouldn’t) they are smoking something. The military wants Biden so they can reinvigorate their endless wars, which their current commander in chief annoyingly speaks out against whenever he can. The generals hate him and would look forward to giving him the boot.
He did.
There were lawsuits prior to certification of the results, while automatic recounts were ongoing, which affected the recount procedure and final certified results, but Bush (and Gore) accepted the certified results.
But the question wasn't about State elections of electors, which are certified by states, but the Presidential election itself.
Anyone certain about Trump's future behavior is wrong. He has repeatedly done things he would "never" do, like ignoring Russian bounties on US troops and trying to defund Coronavirus testing.
