I thought for sure hubris would be something about "oh, that'll be easy to automate!" I'm not sure if it's what makes a great programmer but I do think there's some sort of Paradox of Programmers where we can somehow entirely underestimate the "Big Problem" while also being completely undeterred - defiant even - once the "Big Problem" reveals its true size.
