Ask HN: What is the matter with Blip.TV?

The discoverability of content on Blip.TV is close to zero:

* There's no easy way to extract a URL from an embedded video

* The search looks like something out of a MVP

* The Browse screens are also of little use

I've watched a number of great talks hosted on Blip.TV, but I've never been able to scout the website to find anything meaningful.

Is there something I'm not seeing from Europe that keeps their business afloat?
