Ask HN: Best Open-SOurce tool for PERT/GANNT style project management?

I increasingly find myself having to manage complex PERT/GANNT style projects, i.e. lots of small tasks with Makefile-like dependencies.

Would appreciate HN wisdom pointing me in the direction of tools (preferably OpenSource but not a requirement) that can help with this.
