I found in the Press release the cost of the Transition Kit: $500. Not bad at all.

Probably a rental, based on the last transition.

It is indeed a rental, but on the upside, it's only half the cost of the Intel Transition Kit, which was $999.

there is no intel chip to pay for, so they can make it cheaper

And only a tiny case and no huge cooler ;-)

When the Intel Transition Kit was returned, they gave the devs a first gen Intel iMac for free.
