Ask HN: Ideas for open source projects about Algorithms?

Hello everyone. I am trying to improve my Github profile, sharing projects, etc. I am interested in Algorithms (I have a Master Degree in CS and Algorithms classes were the ones I enjoyed most, I took some courses on Heuristics too).

However, I find difficult to create projects on Github about them. It seems projects in other areas are simpler for this: Machine Learning has Kaggle, frontend has libraries, but what should I do for Algorithms?

It seems obvious that creating a new algorithm would be quite impossible (or improve a known algorithm), and implement well known algorithms doesn't sound interesting or challening either.
