This is where theory and practice part ways. If it was a single bug, I’d be happy to file it. I even tried to do so with Jekyll. I located one, found a library, it was already fixed, but not published. Monkey-patched, only to fight next but. And there was not end to it. I didn’t even started looking into pyenv or bazel, which all were also broken in multiple ways.

It’s not really possible to give a citation for the “feel” of something but I find it very satisfying to limit my frequently-referenced “trunk” path directories to single words.

Yes, I also make it a policy that paths should not need any escaping to type.

You can "enclose paths in quotes" and then you don't need to escape the spaces.

Which works fine until that context is quoted, or dequoted, in which case you're back to square one.
