Ask HN: How do you take long notes on mobile?

I tend to do some listening to lectures on YouTube, Coursera etc on mobile. This is often when I am taking a walk or doing some work. I really would like to record the important notes in each lecture. It is not possible using pen and paper or a different device as I may not be near one.

I tried voice dictation on Android using Google docs but it has so many errors, that when I review the notes later, I cannot make out the sentences. Also switching between youtube and docs for every note gets tiring.

Does anyone faced this before? How did you take notes on the move?
