This is the problem. It has nothing to do with equal rights any longer. It's about forcing your beliefs onto me and then attempting to call me a racist when I disagree.

There was a study (I lost the link, I can try to find it if you want it) that asked participants whether they would date someone from each ethnic group other than their own. Across all the groups, white people were the most accepted, followed by Hispanic, then Asian, and finally African American. There are plenty of similar studies I can pull up (or you can find if you'd prefer).
The primary theories I've seen to explain it aren't overt racism. The first is the abysmal state of racial integration in the US. The theory is that we are attracted to what we are familiar with, and the lack of integration causes a bias against other races. The second is portrayal in media causing subconscious biases.
Race is also the most picked preference for romantic partners, above religion and political preference.
Can we meet in the middle and at least say there's something going on here besides a weirdly societal personal preference?
Having a preference is not the same as would never date/bone this race, regardless of any other facts about them.
Think of it this way, now you’re open to a whole new world of rejection! :)
It might be. I know many African Americans that will not date someone that is not African american.
It's a personal preference. Sure, you can just pick out the people you don't like, but I see this as the same as a dating company only have hetero couples.
