I had a similar idea to this but simplified. I still think it’s a great idea.

Basically you just sell the panel, and some kind of power conversion unit. When there is solar it inverts it and feeds it to whatever device you have plugged in. When there is no solar power it simply passes wall power to your device.

No need for the expensive battery like this kit has. What do folks think? Why can’t we have products that let people dabble in solar and offset a small part of their bill?
