Ask HN: Do you review candidate's GitHub repos before giving an interview?

Hello HN. I'm working on a hiring app that cuts the time spending on profile review. Just want to do a quick survey to verify my assumptions.

Do you check the candidate's GitHub or gitlab repos before offering an interview opportunity? Or would you prefer to make a telephone call straight after approving their resumes?

If so, do you feel annoying to open the repo links one my one from your email or ATS?
