Can we create cozy communities online?

Hey HN,

I recently started playing Stardew Valley, and I've been completely taken with the idea. For people who are unaware - Stardew Valley is a game where a person tired of corporate work moves to his grandpa's farm and builds relationship with the small community there.

The Shelter-In-Place orders have me thinking if we can recreate this coziness online. What if we are stuck with the same group of people everyday over many years, between jobs and we create cross boundary friendships over a long course.

One way I can think of is with a Discord group, with channels not crossing 25 members - and channels remain private.

Here's the Discord server I've created:

Join in if you think the idea is worth exploring.
