Ask HN: Double standards on dating platforms in India

After spending few years in USA and returning to India, I can't help but notice that women in India do not have their pictures in the dating profiles. I tried to reciprocate by removing my pictures and uploading similar content as generic landscapes and quotes that I find on profiles of women but the platforms were swift to make me take those down. This makes me wonder, the photo policies for women are what ever they like them to be while men have to adhere to them.
