The Curse of Knowledge in UX

userpeek.com
And this from an article on UX! I couldn't put it better than their first sentence: As UX experts, we bear the responsibility of introducing the brand or the product to our target audiences in the best ways we can.
If the Accept all button does what you suggest (secretly tick the empty boxes), it is a deeply unethical, and almost definitely illegal design.
Edit: Since userpeek appear to have submitted the article themselves, perhaps they have a comment?
(And then I get a solid blue window popover after a few seconds of inactivity!)
Go away.
