Ask HN: Proprietary File Extension to Reverse

I had in mind this weekend and in the following weeks to try (and also propose as challenges to other users passionate about reverse engineering) to study some proprietary file extensions.

Personally I have no idea where to find them because I often use only open formats: however, I know that in many business realities, there is that software "paid millions" because only that program can open certain extensions.
