As to "who do you listen to", isnt the thesis of the whole article to listen to oneself?
Can you honestly say that Americans don't know where to apply their skepticism? Anti-vaxxers are roaming Facebook right now saying "see what we told you about not trusting your government?" and honestly they'd be right about our inability to trust the head of state.
I mean, anti-vaxxers are a fantastic example of misplaced skepticism; they can’t even trust subject matter experts, let alone the government.

My thoughts exactly. The article has that presumptive “I have the capital T truth and don’t we all agree this is the truth?” feel to it, like it would be deeply immoral to think otherwise.
