Tell HN: Zoom removed the dial-in and join from your browser options

> Zoom will be placing the Web Client into maintenance mode and take this part of the service offline. This will also impact users utilizing Zoom’s Web SDK. This will have no impact on users utilizing Zoom’s desktop or mobile application. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. https://status.zoom.us/incidents/16ll08mmddk6

I used to visit to this page [1] to join Zoom meetings from Canada using my phone because I don’t like using the desktop/mobile app, much less these days with all the security issues people have found. But today I realized the dial-in numbers are not there anymore. I tried to join the same meeting using the “join from your browser” [2] option that appears once you cancel the installer download, but it now returns a “403 Forbidden” error message, meaning the page was completely removed.

EDIT: They are planning to put these features back online in the future [20,21,22,23].

I cannot believe Zoom is forcing customers to use the desktop and mobile apps after so many people complained about their bad security practices [4..19].
