I run Facebook Disconnect too, and it also caused the comments to fail to load on the TechCrunch article, in case you were wondering.

I block connect.facebook.com in /etc/hosts so the comments don't load in any browser for me as the request 404s, Facebook Disconnect is just a bonus.
