Ask HN: International students/workers, what do you own?

In the past 5 years, I have studied+worked in 3 countries, which means that I had to move every 1~2 years.

Because I could only carry 2 checked-in luggages, when I move, I had to decide on what to keep and what to throw/give away. This unstable lifestyle is affecting my purchase decisions and opinion to holding personal belongings.

Hence my curious question:

International students/workers, what do you own? What do you carry with you in your luggage, suppose that you are to leave the country soon?
