They can’t just throw money on a candidate and win solely on permeating all Ad media.
But wow, half a billion dollars for half a dozen pledged delegates...
Trump won, among other reasons, because he was the least viable candidate in the Republican field to a degree that made him very entertaining (and thus got him far more media coverage) and appealing to the anti status-quo zeitgeist of the moment.
Really I'm starting to suspect that entertainment value is the primary factor needed for political success at that level, with vast monetary resources being secondary, and that this has been the case since the famous televised debate between JFK and Nixon. Actual political experience and domain knowledge in matters of law, finance, and diplomacy are not only dead last in importance but to many Americans serve as reasons not to support a candidate. Americans hate politicians for the most part, but they love cowboys and scoundrels.
I'm worried that, if it comes down to Biden/Clinton vs Trump, all Trump has to do is make a joke about "Crazy Joe" and "Crooked Hillary" and he'll have another four years in the bag.
no need for making new jokes, he can just ask voters to google "creepy Biden" and think about the children
Turns out he's not the best person to save the country from Trump. Who would have thought?
I wish they'd settled on Warren instead. Sure, progressive, but more willing to work with the rest of the party. And I want to see her give Trump the Bloomberg treatment. It would have been fireworks. Trump vs Biden is just two old guys constantly misspeaking and making little sense.
