Web(& Electron) apps are the worst user experience

While the amount of work that can be required to make a PWA/Electron application as fast/powerful as Desktop applications is much higher, they can also be really fast to prototype designs and "get stuff done".
A long time ago, I developed an application using Adobe Air. It basically just opened up a full-screen browser on different screens, but it could be deployed as a "real application". I think it took me all of a day to build and most of that was just learning Air's way of handling monitor enumeration and the like.
But it enabled me to build an application which used my existing skill set and it ran solidly for multiple years.
Sure, it probably could have been a .Net or Java application. Probably would have ran fine. But for myself and my customers, it offered a great "user experience".
