Also, I understand you're not storing login credentials on the server but are you writing the bank site-crawling code yourself or are you using a third party?
It doesn't say what banks it supports.
If it hadn't been linked to from HN, I probably wouldn't have clicked through the slideshow.
the user interface is more intuitive and designed similarly to gmail's interface.
updating transactions is much faster; connections don't go through yodlee.
Secondly, comparing this to the likes of Mint for instance looking at their TOS - http://www.mint.com/how-it-works/security/terms/ and then comparing it to your TOS:
"We've done our best to make this site as safe, secure, and reliable as possible.
However! In the real world, security is only as secure as its weakest link, and in a world designed by humans there are bound to be human flaws contained somewhere within the design.
While we strive to provide you with a safe, secure, and reliable service, we do not and cannot guarantee the safety or security of any information or data that you hand over to us.
By signing up and logging in, you've agreed to release us of any liablities that may result from the usage of, or is somehow related to the usage of our service, MonkeyPeanuts.com.
If this is unacceptable to you, please immediately delete any accounts you've registered with us and clear your browser cookies.
Thank you for your consideration, and we hope you enjoy MonkeyPeanuts.com."
If I was a user, I wouldn't find any trust with this service specifically the reference to the flaws and the safety of my data. Mint go as far as creating a seperate page with regards to security and have Truste certification etc.
You should really have a look at your TOS as well as, certifications for your website and the encryption issue.
Also, thanks. This is really good feedback.
Do you have plans to do this? Automating is one thing, but you need to allow a way for users to edit the bits that the automation misses, gets wrong, etc., or that people want to disregard, IMHO.
I can probably add this pretty easily. Though I don't have the time for it right now, but definitely soon.
