I think the abysmal record of the plane and the huge amount of money spent on it are more likely why it seems that way. It's really hard to say nice things about people who actually shine turds for a living.

I think you could do it about any of the large military contractors, to be fair.

Lockheed Martin is hundreds of billions of dollars over the original budget and has continuously delivered a POS plane in exchange. If that's not deserving of a hit piece, I don't know what is.

Maybe because their plane sucks? Just throwing out ideas here.
