Ask HN: There is too much content. How can we synthesize it?

Would it be possible to:

- extract semantics

- use canonical entities

- break down complex arguments

- merge duplicates

- quantify agreement, engagement, support, views, likes, shares

- ignore spam

- ignore false information

- ignore outdated information

I waste too much time reading the same information twice, mentally keeping count of recommendations/opinions, reading outdated/debunked information, filtering out irrelevant content, consuming more new content/conversation than old (but still relevant) ones, etc. I waste even more time repeating things others or myself have already expressed before.

Finding the right content today is a lottery. I would like to talk about how we can change that.
