If you want to try another recipe with buckwheat, you can cook it like rice.
You rinse the buckwheat, and then you boil it. At the end drain it, and add a sauce (usually butter) and it's ready to eat.
I used to eat it in that way (outside Italy), and it's normally a side of a main dish, for example roasted chicken and buckwheat (instead of potatoes).
