How to find a hacker roommate in SF?

I'm a startup founder with an office in SoMa, but I live in the east bay. I'd like to get rid of that commute, but I've found it's really difficult to find a place to live in SF, especially when you have no proof of income. Whats the best way to find a good hacker roommate and/or a decent super-cheap place to live (I'm always at the office anyways)?
